Safety and safety awareness

I remember the loss of so many innocent lives due to one person's fault. Although there were many institutional changes, there was still a lot of regret. And while accidents continue to continue, I think we can reduce the number of times we can stop them.

We must always be safe and always think about what to do if this happens in any environment. If you don't always have this kind of sense of safety, you're in danger, and you're not supposed to do anything unless you're a machine.

There are far more cases of suffocation of toxic gases than of direct burning and death in the event of a fire. Anyone who's actually had a sip of it knows that. And there is a stark difference between real and indirect education. For example, no matter how much you memorize swimming theory, it's useless to go into the water. That's because theory has limitations in explaining real feelings. The most practical, but it's too dangerous to actually experience and understand. Therefore, you should always be safe and careful and accumulate your thoughts through a practical experience.

I remember Napoleon only as a good war general, but when I read his famous words, I even think of him as a writer of deep thought and philosophy. Looking at the passage below, you will find out how Napoleon had in mind his usual thoughts of danger and disaster. I think we should live with this idea all the time.

* I always think. I always take care of things immediately when I'm faced with them because I've thought about a number of cases beforehand

It's not because I'm a genius, but the result of my usual meditation and reflection that I'm dealing with immediately when someone else is in an unexpected emergency.

I'm always moving in my head when I eat or watch an opera in a theater.

- Napoleon.

When an event occurs, social interest reaches its peak immediately and gradually decreases, resulting in a "survival survival cycle."

From the well-known Heinrich law,

In the early 1930s, Heinrich, a U.S. insurance company manager, discovered a very unusual rule while analyzing the process and cause of accidents he was dealing with.

Almost every single major accident has 29 minor accidents, and over 300 signs in advance.

(1 : 29 : 300 Law)

We see accidents happening at home, at work, at factories, in places where they are prone to accidents, and in places where small accidents are frequent.

And the great accidents and disasters of the nation must bode well before they happen.

To eliminate these accidents, we need to look at the small signs and pre-emptively block them with systems, institutions and education.

◇ 10 - 80 - 10 laws

Britain's John Richie, author of "Survival Psychology," emphasizes the "10-80-10 law."

In other words, only 10 percent of the people are calm and reasonable when faced with a desperate crisis, the majority 80 percent are surprised and bewildered, significantly reducing their judgment, and the remaining 10 percent exacerbate the situation by inappropriate behavior.

The researchers analyzed the difference between the survivors and the dead, and their lives were divided in just 90 seconds. I think that Golden Time exists in any accident and that Golden Time is determined by the degree of training it normally does. That is also a practical education.

It is easy to miss the golden time at a point when one is faced with a situation that one has not actually experienced since it is not a machine.  To prevent this, it is essential to train repeatedly and to master the degree of acting out of unconsciousness. So, the military sees it as one of the reasons for continuing iterative training.

◇ Firemen's Prayer

My God.

When I'm called,

No matter how powerful the flames are,

Give me the power to save one life.

Before it's too late.

Let him embrace the child.

Save the old man from fear.

Make sure you always have everything you need.

He will listen to the faintest cries.

Let the fire be brought under control quickly and effectively.

He is faithful to my mission.

Make sure you do your best.

Protect and protect the lives and property of all your neighbors.

And according to your will,

If I lose my life,

by your grace

Take care of my children and my wife.

- Smokey Lynn-

Common sense tells us how to avoid smoke in case of fire.

In case of fire, smoke is located on the upper floor of the room and clean air is between 30cm and 60cm from the floor.

Therefore, if you see smoke or smell, you should use clothing to cover your nose and mouth, lower your posture, and quickly exit the building.

When evacuating, the fire doors must be closed and out of the building. Closing the doors during evacuation can reduce the spread of heat and smoke.

You can buy time for evacuation.

Put the back of your hand against the handle before you open the door or exit. If the handle is hot, it means that the fire is close, so you should use other entrances as much as possible to evacuate

However, the above writing is just a simple education.

◇ Safety

It is safe to do it completely.

To Doubt Is Safer than to be secure

Think like a person who acts; act like a person who thinks.

The ship is the safest in the harbor, but that is not why it exists. - Goethe.

◇ Juran law

It is called FedEx's service law, which says that it costs 10 won if you send it out just because of a liability problem, and 100 won if the product is returned to claim.

◇ David Award

Someone asked Michelangelo how he could make such great sculptures as the Pieta Award or the David Award.

Michelangelo then replied that he had already imagined that the statue was in a marble, and had only carved out the unnecessary parts and brought out what was originally there.

- In David Kessler's Life Class book,

This was when Michelangelo painted a heavenly creation on the ceiling of the high Sistine Chapel in 1508 at the command of Pope Julius II.

To paint the painting, Michelangelo, with his head tilted back at the cathedral for as many as four years, devoted only to drawing ceiling paintings at the risk of hanging from high ceilings with almost lying down.

One day, a friend asked me, "I was drawing a picture from a dark corner that I couldn't see well with my head tilted back.

"You have a hard time painting parts that you can't see in such a corner? Who knows if it's perfect? Let’s do it roughly."

Then Michelangelo replied.

"That's what I know."
