Jim Rogers
◇ In 2005, investor Jim Rogers distributed sugar to reporters and said it would be "money if kept well." Reporters laughed and turned it over, but five years later it actually happened.
In 2010, it was the third 'sugar craze' in world history, with sugar prices rising steeply.
Also, Jim Rogers showed the North's silver and gold coins himself, saying, "The silver and gold coins will disappear in North Korea, so it is worth the collection. I'm investing in this," he said, drawing attention.
Jim Rogers' investment principles, which have generated 4,000% profits over 10 years, are 1. affordable prices; 2.where no one else's eyes are drawn; 3. where positive changes will occur.
Jim Rogers said, "If Korea does not want to become an island, it must be connected to the continental railway." He added, "South Korea will be isolated to the island if unification is not achieved, but we will be at the center of the Eurasian era," adding, "The Golden Triangle region where North Korea, China, Hunchun, Russia, and North China meet will be the most notable in the next 10 to 20 years."
His family is so confident that China will move up to G2 that all of Singapore's families can learn Chinese.
Jim Rogers also commented on the reality that young Koreans are obsessed with the job of public servants. He confessed that he had met a Korean schoolgirl studying 15 hours a day and preparing for civil servants, and that he was really hurt.
"There is no country in the world where teenagers want government employees," he said. "Everyone has a lot of dreams, including soccer players, investors and journalists. Korea is the only country that calls for civil servants," he said.
