1833 - borrowed money from a friend and went bankrupt for the second time

1834 - A fiancé to marry suddenly dies.

1836 - Hospitalization for 6 months for severe depression. Self-study passed the bar exam 1838 - a state congressional spokesman's election defeat

1840 - The Presidential Election Commission's Decline

1843 - House of Representatives Fall

1846 - Elected Rep.

1849 - Return to your hometown and apply for a national maintenance officer; refuse

1854 - Senate Fallout 

1855 - Winning Vice-Presidential nomination by 100

1860 - Sen. Fallout 

1860 - Elected President 

1864 - Presidential re-election
