◇ The people of Ahn's family are known to have participated in the independence movement for three generations: Ahn's uncle Ahn Tae-soon, his mother Jo Maria, his younger brother and nephews, and his cousin and nephews.

The government awarded the Order of National Foundation Merit to 15 of these Ahn Jung-geun family members whose independence movement was confirmed.

There have been cases in which people from certain families have jumped into the independence movement, but the Ahn Jung-geun family is the only one who has produced independence fighters decorated by 15 people.

After his earache worsened and his stomach deteriorated at the age of 30, Beethoven went to a nursing home near Vienna in the summer.

◇ 안중근의사 가문의 사람들은 안중근 의사의 숙부 안태순, 어머니 조마리아 여사, 동생과 조카들, 그리고 사촌 형제와 5촌 조카들에 이르기까지 3대에 걸쳐 40여 명 이상이 독립운동에 참여한 것으로 알려져 있다.

정부는 이러한 안중근 의사 가문의 사람들 중에서 독립운동 내용이 확인된 15명에게 건국훈장을 수여하였다.

특정가문의 사람들이 독립운동에 뛰어든 사례는 있으나 15명이 훈장을 받은 독립유공자를 배출한 경우는 안중근의사 가문이 유일하다.


◇ 요양지에서 생긴일 (베토벤 일화)

나이 30세를 넘어 귓병이 악화하고 위장도 나빠진 후로 베토벤은 여름철이 되면 으레 빈 근교의 요양지로 나가 한철을 보냈다.

요양지에서도 베토벤은 유별나게 행동해 나중에는 그를 받아주는 여관이나 하숙집이 거의 없을 정도였다. 그런데 유독 뫼드링크에 있는 한 집만은 언제나 그를 흔쾌히 받아들였다.

사실 그 집주인이 베토벤을 각별히 반긴 데에는 그럴 만한 이유가 있었다. 베토벤은 갑자기 좋은 악상이 떠올랐을 때 가까이 종이가 없으면 빈 지문에 오선지를 긋고 악보를 적는 습관이 있었다.

그가 떠나고 나면 주인은 악보가 적힌 빈 지문을 떼 내어 수집가에게 비싼 값으로 팔아 톡톡히 재미를 보고 있었다.
