護國報勳

The month of patriotism in June means that the two words, "protecting the country," "rewarding the country" and "replying the honor," are combined to thank and repay the country.

The Sunguk Seonyeol() was the people who sacrificed to recover the country from the Japanese imperialism during the Japanese uprising, and the Hoguk Spirit() was the people who sacrificed to protect the nation's safety and the lives of the people from the Korean War.

In ancient Greece, in Athens, the National Cemetery was chosen to be the most spectacular of the landscape, buried the war dead and responsible for the education of their children, and Genghis Khan, who achieved the world's largest empire, allowed his men to fight for their lives by raising the children of the dead as they were the princes.

The United States also made it possible to motivate the sacrifice for the country by taking responsibility for the prisoners of war and the missing family to the end.

 盡忠報國

It means to give life to the country and the people in return for the grace of the country by doing all the loyalty, or to devote all the body and mind to the development and prosperity of the country.

◇ 호국보훈(護國報勳)

6월 호국보훈의 달은 ‘나라를 보호한다’는 ‘호국(護國)’과 ‘공훈에 보답한다’는 ‘보훈(報勳)’이 합쳐진 말로 나라에 감사하고 보답한다는 뜻이다.

순국선열(殉國先烈)은 대일항쟁기에 일제로부터 나라를 되찾고자 희생한 분들이며, 호국영령(護國英靈)은 6.25 한국전쟁 등 전쟁으로부터 국가의 안위와 국민의 생명을 지키기 위하여 희생한 분들이다.

고대 그리스 아테네에서는 경관이 가장 빼어난 곳에 국립묘지를 선정하여 전몰자를 안장하고 그 자녀들의 교육을 책임졌으며, 세계에서 가장 큰 제국을 이룩한 징기스칸은 전사자의 자녀를 왕자들과 똑같이 양육하도록 하여 부하로 하여금 목숨을 걸고 싸울 수 있도록 했다.

또한 미국은 전쟁포로와 실종자 가족을 끝까지 책임져줌으로써 국가를 위한 희생에 대한 강한 동기부여를 할 수 있게 하였다.


◇ 진충보국 (盡忠報國)
[다할 진, 충성 충, 갚을 보, 나라 국]

충성을 다하여서 나라의 은혜에 보답한다는 뜻으로 조국과 민족을 위해 생명을 바쳐 충성을 다한다. 또는 몸과 마음을 다 바쳐 나라의 발전과 번영을 위해 헌신 봉공하는 것을 말한다.

◇ 국가
