Justice always leads to victory, meaning that what is not right can't be done.

◇ To save the economy

A major traffic accident occurred as the Japanese prime minister and key Cabinet members were on their way to the meeting.

They were rushed to the hospital.

When Sankei newspaper reporters heard the news, they rushed over and asked the doctor.

"Can I get the Prime Minister?"

"No."

"What about the deputy prime minister?"

"Go ahead."

* The economy was much broader than the current economic words, including politics and administration, which the father-in-law said in the words of his father-in-law, "honored the world" and "relief of the people," in short for "light citizens."

Then, as Western literature entered, Japanese scholars searched for the word in Chinese classics to translate the Western word eonomy.

◇ 사불범정 (邪不犯正.)

바르지 못한 것이 바른 것을 감히 범하지 못한다라는 뜻으로 정의가 반드시 이김을 이르는 말.


◇ 경제를 구하기 위해서는

일본 총리와 주요 각료 인사들이 회의에 참석하러 가는데 대형 교통사고가 발생했다.

이들은 긴급히 병원으로 후송되었다.

산케이 신문 기자들이 이 소식을 듣고 달려와서 의사에게 물었다.

"총리를 구할 수 있습니까?"

"아니오."

"부총리는요?"

"글세요."

"그럼, 누구를 구할 수 있습니까?"

* 경제는 '경세제민(經世濟民)' 혹은 '경국제민(經國濟民)'을 줄인 말로 '세상을 경륜(經世)하고 백성을 구제(濟民)'한다는 장자(莊子)의 말로 장자가 말한 경세제민이란 정치와 행정도 포함되어 지금의 경제학이라는 말보다 훨씬 범위가 넓은 말이었다.

그러다 서구문물이 들어오면서 economy (어원 : 집안 살림하는 사람)라는 서양의 단어를 번역하기 위해 일본 학자들이 중국 고전에서 이 말을 찾아쓰면서 지금의 경제라는 말이 굳어졌다.
