여행객은 당황해서 옆에 있던 통역관에게 통역을 부탁했다.

사진을 찍으면 그 사람의 혼이 빠져나간다는 것은 미신이며, 카메라가 어떻게 작동하는 지에 대해서 원주민에게 설명하라고 했다.

여행객의 말에 통역관은 시큰둥한 반응을 보이며 말했다.

“그게 아니고, 저 사람들은 카메라의 렌즈 뚜껑이 닫혀 있다고 소리치는 겁니다.”


◇ 과숙체락(瓜熟滯落)

오이가 익으면 꼭지가 떨어진다. 즉 오이가 익으면 꼭지가 떨어지듯이 조건이 성숙되면 일은 자연히 이루어지게 된다는 뜻.


◇ 광해 명대사

"적당히들 하시오 적당히들! 대체 이 나라가 누구나라요? 뭐라? 이 땅이 오랑캐에게 짓밞혀도 상관없다고? 명황제가 그리 좋으시면 나라를 통째로 갖다 받치시던가!"
